Okay so I went to an estate sale and got a bunch of gold leaf. I thought to myself "What the HELL am I going to do with this?"
I'll admit it, it intimidated me. Why? I don't know. Too foo foo I guess.
I had a bunch of tarnished puffy silver hearts that I knew I would never clean and so I decided to try the gold leaf out on them. Oh my, they turned out so cool!
So what the HELL do you think?

The hearts look great. What did you use for adhesive?
Thank you! The picture doesn't do them justice at all.
They are really cool. I used the Mona Lisa (?) brand adhesive and then used the same brand of sealer. I put the sealer on about 3 times. I haven't "exposed them to the elements" yet to see how they hold up. But I think they will do well. I'm trying it on some other items and they will have wire directly on the leaf so I will report how well they do. Thanks so much for asking. Let me know if you try something different with the gold leaf.
Since I just got to fondle one of these in person, I can honestly say they look AWESOME! I have a new love for variegated leaf.
